Dave McKean is a digital illustrator, photographer, author and artist who uses surrealism as the main substance in his pictures.
He had worked on the Arkham Asylam (Batman) comic and also well known book illustrations, such as Varjak Paw, Varjak Paw: The Outsider, Sandman, Coraline and published his own book filled with his comics and stories: Things That Tick.

I really like McKean because I love how he uses mixed media in his work, as well as digital techniques.
And I really like his creepy artwork, mainly because I love creepy stuff (hard to believe it, I do...) and I love surrealism and scary artwork that makes most people grossed out.
Maurice Sendak:
Maurice Sendak was an illustrator for children's books and an author, as he had written "Where the Wild Things are".
I really like these illustrations, because they maybe for children, but they still look very surreal.
Quentin Blake:
Quentin Blake is a well-known children's book writer and illustrator, as he has illustrated the majority of Roald Dahl's most famous books (eg: The BFG, James and the Giant Peach, Matilda, The Twits, etc...).
I really like these pictures, because they're very bright and colourful and they are well illustrated and Blake has really brought the character to life.
