Digital Illustration

What we did in the lesson-
 +We learnt all of the different tools on Photoshop
      -Marquee tool
      -Paintbrush tool
      -Gradient tool
      -Etc...
 +We did different tests of layers and pictures
 +We all did a surrealist picture using a shirt and a cloud

My finished picture:

I'm really proud of this, because (hard to believe) I had never done something like this before.

Even though it's really dark in some areas, the tones of the shirt, background and cloud worked really well (I think so anyway).








Six Digital images that I like:

I really like this because it feels almost like a fantasy and also, because of the orangey-gold glow coming from the tree orbs. It looks like that it feel warm in the painting. I think the program that was used was either Paint Sai or Photoshop, but I'm not sure which one (could be both). It's mostly dark, but we can still make out the entire picture: the man, the tree, the background and the details, which are very clear and helps to bring out the shape of the huge/main tree. If I ever learn how to draw/paint like this, I would be happy, because then my pictures won't look so child-like...

The little dragon's so cute!!! That the main reason why I like it...  as well as it's big eyes. Anyway, I really like this picture because I think that the dragon is cute and that the picture shows (ME) a small story to this. The dragon's looking for a home and appears at the front door of this house.
The tones of this painting are very neat, as we can see the picture clearly, as well as all of the details in it. I would really love to learn how to draw like this... because it looks really amazing.

One sentence: Howl's Moving Castle. SAID IT!!! Done! Kapeesh!! Meh!
I love how this picture reminds me of that film! It also reminds me of Laputa: Castle in the Sky.  
I think it's very surreal, as it's a castle and a ship at the same time, which is weird, but creative as well. The contrast between the grey clouds and the green forest work well with each other.

I really like this because it's very pretty, but also very colourful and tonal. I like how the chains lead you to the background.  And I like the way that everything is all faded out in the distance.

How much drama and epicness does this picture give me? A lot. I have seen the Transformers films (all of them). It's very tonal, dramatic and detailed, as we can see the very small details on Optimus Prime (the one in th foreground).

There is a lot of negative space around the main figure and object. The colours are very tonal and not really that bright.
